Jude,
I'm sorry you can't watch these videos. Perhaps a friend's computer will allow you the pleasure. If not, here's some flowers for you and everyone who appreciates flowers. Below is a wonderfully upbeat and positive video.

I am absolutely blessed by all that everyone shares on this thread. I was not aware of any of the videos that others have shared and I am so much the better for having watched them.

Jessica,
I don't know how you keep coming up with these touching and comforting videos. You are an incredible resource! Over the Rainbow is just nicely reassuring and soft.

Joe,
Bobbie McFerrin is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone who watches this video. An absolutely endearing and unique way to start my day. Thanks for sharing this.

Imenuff -> RE: Videos which are uplifting... (1/24/2008 9:17:59 AM)

Thank you all for your posts of videos. Edelweiss, always one of my favorites. It's soft gentleness can transport the listener to almost "seeing" the blossoms of snow peacefully flowing to and fro in the whispering breezes. How Could Anyone and has anyone ever told you, beautiful gifts for those who struggle with self-image as we all so often to.

One of my personal favorites May you be Blessed honestly deals with life as it is. . It was produced after the woman's father lost a long battle with cancer and was her response to the grief. I am grateful for having found it since in those stormy times of life, it reminds me that with trust in the Divine, this too will pass. Another of my favorites is A Holy Spash of Time. This one is a very special call to me to constantly work toward living in the present moment and being grateful for it.

Thank you all for being the Holy One's dream of what family can and should be. In the words of the song, You raise me up so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.

NAMASTE TO ALL

The following is a Love song to God (I think) by Tina Turner entitled Break Every Rule. The video is not the greatest but I love how she talks about God.

You're every dream that I dream
You're every beautiful thing I've ever seen
I'm always singing your praises
Counting the days away

TINA TURNER Break Every Rule 12" Single DANCE MIX Video 1987

Every road that I walk on
Every single flight I ever take
Though I'm thousands of miles away
In my mind every journey leads me closer to you
I've been all around this world
I've been in far too many states
But I'm under your spell
I've made my mistakes oh you can probably tell

You're every dream that I dream
You're every beautiful thing I've ever seen
I'm always singing your praises
Counting the days away

Chorus
I would be your slave I'd even be your fool
I'm so in love with you
I'm in love with you baby
I'm gonna break every rule

I hope you can forgive
Every white lie I'm forced to tell
They say that everythings fair in love and in war
And I'm not above cheating for you
One night I'll catch you off your guard
And you will finally fall so hard
Strategically speaking I'm already beaten
I'll surrender to you
You're every dream that I dream
You're every beautiful thing I've ever seen
I'm always singing your praises
Counting the days away

Chorus
I would be your slave
I'd even be your fool
I'm so in love with you
I'm in love with you baby
I'm gonna break every rule

Every road that I walk on
Every flight that I ever take
Every dream that I dream on
Every journey brings me closer to you

This song speaks to me about how precious each day really is and how precious my friends on this forum are to me. May you each appreciate your precious-ness. "And I became a friend, a friend would like to have."

Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying - HQ (Official)

He said I was in my early forties, with a lot of life before me
And one moment came that stopped me on a dime
I spent most of the next days, looking at the x-rays
Talking 'bout the options and talking 'bout sweet times.
I asked him when it sank in, that this might really be the real end
How's it hit 'cha when you get that kind of news?
Man what did ya do?
He said

Chorus
I went skydiving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chew
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denyin'
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dyin'

He said I was finally the husband, that most the time I wasn't
And I became a friend, a friend would like to have
And all of a sudden goin' fishin', wasn't such an imposition
And I went three times that year I lost my dad
Well I finally read the good book, and I took a good long hard look
At what I'd do if I could do it all again
And then

Chorus
I went skydiving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denyin'
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dyin'

Bridge
Like tomorrow was a gift
And ya got eternity to think about what to do with it
What could you do with it
What did I do with it
What would I do with it

Skydiving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Blue Man Chew
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I watched an eagle as it was flyin'
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dyin'

Live like you were dyin'

To live like you were dyin'.

Daffodils are my favorite flower. There is something cheery about them that I just love.

Last night my partner and I watched a beautiful DVD called 'The Snow Walker' and I totally recommend it.  It really connected with my journey of losing old ways of reacting and relating, and freeing the true self.

With Love

Gracious good folks,
Here's some videos for your enjoyment. Even though it is cold out and I know Edda and Juliana and others are battling winter, today I felt some wonderful spring creep into my soul. It was as though the light was easiest to see when it was the darkest. I hope there is a little bit of spring today in your hearts.

I really like a lot of different lady singers with interesting voices. Here'a a few.
I like the message in this song especially the idea of starting in the present and moving forward.

Shania Twain - From This Moment On

I like the idea of always loving someone despite what form the relationship takes.

Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You

I enjoy the way she plays the piano and describes weaving the threads of our lives into a tapestry.

Carole King - Tapestry

Aretha Franklin sings Respect. Say no more.

Aretha Franklin - Respect (1990)

If you only watch one video, this is it. It's worth it just for Aretha Franklin, but also has Maria Carey, Celene Dion, Carole King, Gloria Estafan, and Shania Twain.
