Here are some technical pointers in orrder to get the most from watching videos on the Internet for those like me who are not technically proficient.

If you don't have a high speed connection, there is a way you can probably watch videos. Go to YouTube and select the video. When it first starts to play, click the grey button that looks like two vertical lines in the lower left hand corner which will pause the movie. Let the video load. This may take a minute or even more. You can tell when the video is loaded by watching the red line across the bottom. When it gets all the way to the right next to the time, it is loaded. Then click the triangle button which is in the lower left hand corner where the pause button was. The video should now play.

Another pointer is to be able to see the video in full screen, you need to click the button in the lower right hand corner. It looks like a rectangle within a rectangle. Once you click it, the video should now be full screen. If you are having any trouble with this, please feel free to email me your questions. Others may have suggestions they are willing to share.

While on the subject of pointers, if you post a comment and see a misspelling or want to change something on your post, there is an Edit button in the upper right hand corner that will let you change your post. Click the Edit button, change what you want and repost. Only the new version will be seen.

Hey, I figure if the Queen of England can broadcast on YouTube, we should be able to share some videos which are uplifting. www.youtube.com is a site for finding videos that are in good taste. You can find whatever subject you are looking for with the search function.

I would like to share some videos that I find enjoyable. To every Mom who has children, this video will make you smile. It's everything a Mom will say in a day condensed. 3.15 minutes

The Mom Song Sung to William Tell Overture with Lyrics

This video has made everyone I know at least smile when they see it. The nuns are funny. The beautiful music is by the large Turtle Creek Chorale. 3.53 minutes

Hallelujah Chorus Nuns

The following is my favorite version of Handel's Messiah. The video is lame but the singing by the Ambrosian Singers is certainly not. 3.58 minutes

Handel - Messiah - Hallelujah

One of my all time favorite videos which never fails to lift my spirits is Martin Luther King's I have a Dream speech. In black and white, it conveys a sense of hope. 17.27 minutes

Martin Luther King "I have a dream"

I hope one of these videos lifts someone's day. May the Giver of All Good Gifts bless each of you today and help you appreciate how special God made you.
Thankful one

I've seen the mom song, and sent the link to every mom I know.  It's hilarious!!  But I also think it's pretty validating to moms.

Jessica, What a beautiful gift you have given all of us by these two posts. The one on forgiveness is outstanding. These will definitely go out to all my "email buddies."

Thankful one, thank you for beginning this thread. It has already added much to my life.

Simon and Garfunkel's song Bridge over Troubled water is awesome and comforting. I send this video to everyone who is suffering right now for whatever reason to let them know I am right behind you when you need a friend. I am on your side when times get rough and friends just can't be found.

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I'll take your heart
When darkness comes
And pain is all around

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

Sail on silver bird
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams will go on living

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water

I absolutely loved the In the Arms of the Angels by Sarah Mclaughlin song and video. Her voice is just so beautiful and touching. It's like she is giving a soft light hug.

Your post with the links was a magical gift at the end of a long day. Thanks so much for sharing this song/video. I will say a prayer of gratitude tonight for the sharing of this.

Thankful one, many times I was going to thank you for adding this thread but got distracted. I want to say thank you. Music is an important part of life and stimulates so much of one's self. Having been around musicians in my life has been rewarding to be part of, even though I do not play an instrument. I have a violin I am working up to learn to play.
Great thread!

God Bless You
Marie

Thankful one, what a wonderful gesture. Thank you. We have all become a Blessing to one another and we can share these with everyone that we have come to know here at Gratefulness that have given us another insight, through their kindness, prayers and candles. A place of togetherness I believe I want to say and a place for expressing Gratefulness.

Thank you to a wonderful person.

Thankful one, You have posted one of my most favorite songs. It would be impossible for me to count how many throughout my life have been that Bridge Over Troubled Water for me. Thank you and all on this website who many times without knowing it were truly "My Bridge Over Troubled Waters. (Thank you also for all your technical tips on computer usage. They have been a great help to someone like me who can be very technilogically challenged.)

Jessice Your post In the Arms of the Angels was a really special way to begin a day, knowing that we are all in the arms of the angels. Calling All Angels was a good reminder that each of us is called to be an angel to each other. Thank you.

Marie,I couldn't agree more. This has truly become a site where blessings are both given and received each day.

NAMASTE to all of you.

Juliana and the Europeans,
One of my all time favorite songs that we used to sing as a family was from the Sound of Music.  It is sung by Christopher Plummer and is called Edelweiss. I think this song is a wonderful part of the movie where he loses his hard exterior and he becomes much softer.

Below the video link is a link to a picture of what Edelweiss looks like. It has been one of my life goals to see Edelweiss in it's natural setting.

Thankful-sentimental-one: It is only now that I have discovered your post on Edelweiss. One of your life goals to see Edelweiss in its natural setting - well, that means that some time you will have to come over here and - yes, there is no other way - do some mountain climbing! Start getting in good condition!

Jessica, thank you for "Has anyone told you...". I love it.

Jessica,
Wow! What a blessing both these two videos are. Thank you.

I especially LOVE Has Anyone Ever Told You. The message is the ultimate in personal affirmations. Everyone in the world should watch this one.

Thankful that I got to start my day on such a positive note!
