Aki´s memorable quotes are many. To me, he has once more confirmed Marshall Rosenberg´s conviction that it is our nature to contribute to one another´s well-being. I had to find one little chore after the other for Aki. When I thanked him for watering the flowers, he replied, "But I´d love to do something for you all day long!"

Tonight, when we were talking about his leaving for home tomorrow, I said how much I had enjoyed his staying with me and that I would feel lonely without him.  In a reproachful tone he contered, "But don´t you know that you are NEVER alone?", pointing to the sky . (In German, we have the same word for "sky" and for "heaven" ("Himmel").

Aki,
Thank you for the reminder that we are never alone!

I appreciate you helping Juliana with all her little chores and with helping her remember to feel blessed with each day she is alive.

Come back and visit Juliana soon.

I look forward to meeting you when I come to Austria.

Here's a picture of an angel for you. I hope you like it.

What strengthens my hope for a better future of mankind is the innate wisdom of children. (We just have to keep it alive!)

Aki (5 1/2) has been with me again, and he keeps surprising me with what he says, revealing his inner world. Walking home along a wooden path, he suddenly asked me," What are the greatest treasures in the world?" When I paused reflecting, he said,"It´s not gold or money". He was surprised as I was still searching for an answer. "But don´t you remember the story of the Angel of the Woods that you read to me? The greatest treasures which he wants to put into the hearts of people are Kindness, Love and Peace!"
