From Borneo, the Euclidea delphinii caterpillar.

I was told by several employers that I am overqualified for the job I applied for. The employers feel that I might leave so they are unwilling to hire me even though they think I would be the best person for the job. I'll keep trying as I have more leads.

I keep a positive attitude. I thanked the last person for thinking of me and taking the time to tell me why I wasn't hired was because I was way overqualified in person. After I thanked him, I shook his hand and wished him a great day looking him in the eyes.

As I turned to walk out, he told me to come back and gave me a name of someone he knew who might hire me. It nevers hurts to be courteous.

I every day think of all of you wonderful folks and remember you in my prayers every night before I go to bed. Please keep on being so positive, sensitive, reassuring, and willing to reach out and connect. Thank you for being so kind to me when I needed it the most. God bless all of you and may all of you feel loved by whatever sustains you every day.

Dear T.O., thank you for today's crop of beautiful pictures! I am especially intrigued by the Cecropia caterpillar, looks like a work of art!

God speed on you job search! Telling you that you are overqualified is perhaps the gentlest way of letting you know that you are not being hired. You are right, courtesey never hurts and might turn out to be the qualifier!

Keeping you in my prayers and lighting candles for you,

Much love,
Edda

Dear T.O. thanks for the update. Good to hear you are keeping positive in the face of all that rejection! My Son has had the same reason given to him more than once. I think employers are suspicious when someone presents with good qualifications for a job which doesn't need all of them. But sometimes those jobs just aren't available.

Keep trying. Someone will see beyond their noses one day and the caterpillar will surely fly.

Love, Jude

T.O. What great news!! Please allow me to explain why I say that by borrowing something I learned from my husband. " Every rejection brings you one step closer to acceptance." Whenever I am need to find something specific and can't find it, I have learned from him to thank the individual for their time and assistance and then ask if they have any idea where I might find it. Our guys have done something similar when looking for an apartment and found that some individuals won't advertise. The same holds true for jobs. "Would you possibly know of anyone who might be looking for someone with my qualifications?" They always say the best jobs come through referrals and not advertising. What a real compliment this individual gave you! Unless he was really impressed by you, he never would have given you the name of someone he KNOWS. Thank you for all the pictures of catepillars. My first thought when I saw them (being a bug hater) was they are really ugly, followed by those good old self questions? Interesting--in the midst of our own personal metamorphosis, we slowly crawl around in our lives taking considerable effort to move and struggling to move and it "feels ugly." Yet, if we can only allow the metamorphosis, we will eventually fly free. I join Jude in her love of the color of blue--the color of hope in many many spiritualities. Hopefully as we all continue through our daily metamorphoses we will all have the courage to just let go and allow the spirit within to help us each fly a little more freely.

T.O.,

A belated thank you for the butterfly collage you posted for me. Did you make it up or did you find it somewhere?

There I was last night. Some money and a nice job promised both had not come through.

My new landlord needed a check. My roommate needed a check for electricity. I had no money in my wallet at all. I have $7 in my checking account and no savings. I owe many friends thousands of dollars who are not bugging me at all.

I prayed for all of you individually and as a group. I feel all your love with me every day. Thank you so very much. Your concern for me really matters and helps me keep focused and in good spirits. I wish I had time to respond to each of you individually but know that all of you are near and dear to me.

I said out loud all the many, many things I was grateful for. It was quite a long list. Good friends, good health, good heart, and a good attitude all were on the list.

I remembered how much goodness God had brought into my life. I remembered how much beauty I had seen just that day. I put my faith that everything would work out. I slept well.

This morning I talked with my landlord. He wants to put on a new roof on the house I live in. He said he will have me do the roof in exchange for several months rent. Another friend called and said he owed me $50 and would bring it to me.

Life is good. Here's some blue beauty for all you sweet blue lovers (and everyone else).

T.O. That truly is an anwer to prayer. A good friend of mine really believes in this. I must have a little bit of scepticism in me somewhere because I think I believe it too. I obviously have to try harder.

Many Blessings. May the good fortune continue.

Jude

T.O. This is great! A win - win situation for both sides! Something to be truly grateful for!
Now you can put your skills to work and have a roof over your head in more than one way!

Wishing you everything good,
Edda

Dear T. O
I am so grateful you shared this today I was struggling financially and feeling all alone I shared my struggles and kept saying prayers that I trust God to help me and show me the way, I also shared how weary I am of the financial struggling as this is a 3rd generation issue at 57 I do not mind challenges I embrace them however to feel financial stress is tiring....again I turned this over....
I read your post and tears began to flow as I realized your post was a physical expression of God's power to help me and all of us with our necessities so thank you for helping me to quiet the doubt and the poverty thoughts. Shortly after my daughter called and shared she received the needed apartment to keep my grandkids in the school district and to keep her job with my help of watching them...God is moving  and Im grateful we both have this spiritual shelter and family to hold us  Lynn gratitude to you for your encouragement and support you are truly a bright spirit both you and T.O. keep me pointed in the positive like a flashlight guiding with its point of light through the darkness of disappointment and worry bringing me to God's peace
Gratefully

T.O., thank you for remembering me in your post on 7/24 with a beautiful blue picture!  I'm glad to hear others like blue also.  I'm especially fond of your picture of the blue asters!

I've been out of town and haven't had time yet to read up on your posts, but it sounds like you have reason for optimism for awhile!  That's great news.  I admire your ability to see the good in all things.

Hugs,
Lori

Jude, thank you for posting the pictures. Am I correct in assuming that when you call them "my babies", you mean that these are pictures of your buzzards?? No wonder you think they are so beautiful. The one sitting on the fence post is really special. It almost feels like it is looking directly at you.
T.O., your post brought back so very many memories. So often we were on the brink of disaster with bills stacked up no money to pay them, and on the verge of loosing the house or the car, or both, with two little ones to send to school and my mother living with us. It is always amazing how the Holy One will provide a way through it if only one is willing to accept that way. Bravo to you for agreeing to put on the roof in exchange for several months' rent. Perhaps the friends who you owe money to and are not bugging you have also been where you are and someone was there for them. Be safe in installing the new roof. Prayers that it goes quickly and well and that it is not too hot while you are doing it. May the weather while you are doing your roof work be filled with cloudy days, no rain, and cool breezes. As one of the many who loves the color blue, thank you for the blue flowers. May the deep blue of hope break into the glowing dawn of a very special new life for you.

Today I am grateful to know how we all share our stories together.

Jude, say hi to your buzzards for me. I pray for you and your son and your housing situation.

Betty, thanks for the encouragement. I pray for good weather for you and the best of health.

Lori, Thanks for the note. I pray that your health continues to improve soi that you can enjoy each day to the fullest.

Barbara, Thanks for your moving story. I keep you and your much needed ministry in my prayers nightly.

Edda, As always thanks for your caring touch. I pray for you and Leon to be healthy and enjoy each other's company.

Juliana, I hope you are out in your mountains. I pray you and Magdalena get to be together often.

Marie, I miss you bunches. I pray your transitions put you in a special place full of new energy.

And for anyone I forgot in my hurry to get back to my work of finding a job (as everyone knows this is a job in and of itself), know that you are loved. Very much. Take a deep breath. Relax. Enjoy.

I am also grateful for free Internet access at Panera Bread so I can say hi.

If you think of me, keep your eyes and ears and hands open to all the tremendous beauty that surrounds you constantly. And smile. And then smile at someone else.

Some bluebonnets for Jude, Lori, Betty and all the blue lovers.
