I was so glad Obama got elected President.

The name Barack means ''Blessing'' In Hebrew.

I think he is a blessing to our nation.

I know he's going to be a really good president!!!

I have never seen so much hope expressed by so many different people of all walks and backgrounds as this week. I am so grateful for this new spirit. I invite all to continue to pray for our new President, our country, and for the whole world. May we all do our best to live together in peace and with justice, and may each one of us, in our own way, every day, do our best to go just a little beyond our narrow boundaries to reach out to others. Giving, we shall receive. May peace begin with each one of us.

I've reread your prayer for Obama, I will light a candle for him again. I too have some hope in him, I love that his first name means blessed, as I hope he will bless the world and get things going peacefully and democratically again.

I have GREAT HOPE for the next 4 years involving the
rejuvenation of our country.
My prayers are for our New President; all people who are suffering emotionally, financially - struggling to survive.

Lord in Heaven Help us. Grant to our nation leaders who have courage to perform their duties and power wisely. Lead us back to righteous. Amen.

In today’s world, I don’t enjoy reading the paper or watching the news very much. It seems like everything and everybody’s ready to explode. The world was a lot simpler when I was growing up. Born in 53, when times were a bit more peaceful and much more loving than today.
My Prayer for this New Year, 2009 is for Our New President Elect Obama.

Heavenly Father, grant President Obama courage to use and share his new power wisely.   Father, help this man to perform his duties, no matter how humble or extraordinary they may seem to the citizens of the United States and the World, to perform in a righteous / ethical manner. May our New President represent the United States in a justly manner; setting up social programs that address the needs of this nation and using the nation’s funds with prudence and respect. Help this nation to heal & learn to trust again.
Heavenly Father, we Thank You and grateful for the privilege of living in a free nation dedicated to the welfare / concern of it’s people. Father, let us continue to obey Your will by respecting the rights / dignity of all people. Let us have the courage to protect those in need.
Open our hearts in this new year to stop poverty, repression of freedom. Strengthen us to continue our stand against unjust aggression / prejudice throughout this nation. May we continue to have the moral courage /vision to commit ourselves to the ideas of Our Nation’s Founding Fathers, who believed in the dignity of each of God’s creatures.
Father bring an end to war; terrorism & violence; homeless; unemployed; foreclosures; drug / alcohol abuse; child abuse; abuse of the elderly; divorce; domestic violence; stress / anxiety; sexually abused; emotional problems.....   difficult times for all.
Father there is so much evil in this world, help us to fight it, through Your word. I pray President Obama is a God fearing man, who will bring Your light back into this Great Nation. Dark days are ahead for our New Leader. Father, let Your light shine to illuminate the darkness on this very long road he has chosen to walk.   Be with him every step. Bless this New Year 2009, with your healing light.   I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
