He has accomplished this through heart-opening workshops, seminars, and consults around the world. His books and other writings, his dynamic group presentations, and his music are all paths through which he helps people shed the role of victim and realize gratitude toward life and toward God for their circumstances.

Multi-faceted and multi-talented, John is equally at home and equally adept with a musical keyboard or a computer keyboard, and with helping people one-on-one, or through group presentations, or through the printed word.

Having consulted and assisted many different people, who were dealing with many different issues, John recognized one overwhelming concept: People stop feeling like victims of the challenging events and circumstances in their lives only when they are finally able to say “Thank God” for these happenings.

As God would have it, John ended up consulting with many women who had experienced rape. One by one, he assisted them in becoming grateful, and he watched the tears of gratitude well in their eyes as each woman reached the point of saying, “Thank God I was raped.”

John’s extraordinary insight and perception led him to understand deeply that the underlying concept of GRATITUDE for EVERYTHING that one experiences is the greatest wisdom one can have and the greatest skill one can learn. This was the genesis of the book, Thank God I Was Raped, from which, in turn, grew the concept for the “Thank God I…”™ book series. It was John’s realization that collecting the inspiring stories from these incredible women would be of immeasurable help twice over: not only to the women who reached an epiphany through telling their stories and getting to a place of gratitude, but also to the countless other people who would read these stories in the book.

Anyone—regardless of what his or her life challenges are, be it rape, addiction, or some other turning point, can learn from these inspiring stories. And John’s professional background, along with his innate compassion, led him to realize the incredible value of a book such as those in the “Thank God I…”™ series. It is his mission to bring his message of gratitude and hope to as wide an audience as possible.

Concurrently with John’s beginning to collect stories for the first “Thank God I…”™ book, Amanda Kroetsch had begun realizing the healing power of gratitude in her own life. This determined, creative, empathetic woman came from a challenging background, but she reached the point of being able to say, with conviction and certainty, “Thank God my mom is an alcoholic/addict!”

Her attitude came as a surprise to many, but Amanda had come to the same realization that John was leading his advisees to. With inspiration, this incredible human being began creating a book centered around discovering and sharing the benefits of dysfunctional families. She was determined to help as many others as she could by leading them to the realization that gratitude is the answer to life’s challenges, which should be looked on as opportunities, not obstacles.

At that point, as God would have it, Amanda learned of John's Thank God I Was Raped book and decided they had to meet.

As a result, the inspiring and heart-opening “Thank God I…”™ book series, focusing on a message of gratitude, was born.

John and Amanda have made it their mission to compile a book series comprising stories of some of the most challenging issues we face in experiencing gratitude. These books will heal and open hearts around the globe by sharing one simple message:

"Our greatest lessons come in the form of our greatest challenges!"

The “Thank God I…”™ book series, Online Community of Gratitude, and The Banking Gratitude Experience®, a system for discovering the magical and miraculous healing power of GRATITUDE, are their gifts to you!

www.ThankGodI.com
