Yes . . . I see that there is both 'good' news and 'bad' news,
but I think that the good news far outweighs the bad.

I, too, am glad you don't have any metastases, and that you know now the date for your surgery.

I am so sorry about all the troubles coming together. Like Jude said, when it rains it pours! I do hope for a resolution of all these difficulties.

Here is the situation :

My surgery is set for Nov. 16, 2009. No metastases were found, which is a good news and I am grateful for that. I may be able to keep my boobies, they will just take the bad parts out. But for radiotherapy, we do not know yet what form it will take (isotopes inserted locally -- remember they are in short supply? -- or the ray gun).
On the other hand, it is unbelievable the number of mishaps, unpleasant events, etc. that my spouse and I are experiencing at the moment. A few examples:

My son came here last week-end and he infected my portable (not this machine thank God, I turned off the portable when I saw what was going on and unplugged the network wire) with a virus, I cannot reformat because XP does not see the hard disk. This will have to wait.
My bank is about to bounce a big cheque today because some clients have not paid me and there is no money in the company account. They are making me fill out forms to see if they can increase the credit margin for the company.
My spouse's car will not start, the key refuses to turn in the ignition. He had cleaned it the day before but jeez, he did not soak it in water!

My spouse Richard receives unemployment benefits. They are ending in December and so are my family allowances and his group insurance (I have mine).
My fax machine broke, and the part is on back order with no date. I treatened the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement, jsut received yesterday. Ihave to send the defective opne back... after the repair depot has put it back together, Richard will take care of it. Every time we go to the depot it is a good 30 minutes in traffic.
I am not getting enough work these days, so I have not paid my rent yet. The landlord's sister was at the door yesterday. The landlord knows what is going on.
Can't say I am having a good week.
