Many light workers & people of special caring quality have really had such a painful life, & it has not embittered them but built up character - & activated compassion for others who suffer! Something to be grateful for!

Hello Carol, and welcome to the forum. I found your posts very interesting and resonate with what you say. Life for me didn't really start until I was 53 either! But it has been a very rocky and disruptive, as well as expansive and uplifting period in my life.
My spritual teacher informed us that, when we put our foot on the spiritual path life really starts to happen, but to expect plenty of brick-bats along the way....especially when we think we have sorted one thing and start to relax!!!!! She was right.
I don't like change, and the spiriual life is all about change.

I hope we will be seeing more of you on the Forum. I'm glad you have been enjoying sharing in the posts.

Hello Sandra67, this is such a cute - but well practical message; children can show forth great wisdom if they are nurtured well.
Unfortunately some are corrupted to selfishness and bullying, - any extra good & loving in put into their lives by extended family friends & even strangers can make a little positive difference. So many are sensitive & easily hurt. Many light workers & people of special caring quality have really had such a painful life, & it has not embittered them but built up character - & activated compassion for others who suffer! Something to be grateful for!

This is the first message I've posted here, though I recently enjoyed reading a lot of your very positive wisdom words, about blessing people, about finding help intuitively in books & other nice things to be grateful for. I could resonate with all these things!
   Taking the time out sometimes to find things to be grateful for is a great way to become more positive, even when we are going through a 'bad patch'. Always someone is worse off than us in some aspect, we can be glad for the better aspect we have & give a blessing to those who are worse off!
   It can be surprising what wisdom we hold, & have forgotten to put into practice for the foggy thinking of 'poor me' gets so much in the way. For example, I was at a spiritual groups workshop, & someone I had only previously met for 5 minutes - but was a friend of one of my friends - told me one day he was feeling a bit down & asked me for advice, because he trusted our mutual friend's choice. Tell truth I was in a sticky patch myself, but feeling put on the spot I decided not to fob him off, but took a deep breath & quieted my mind & tried to calmly recall something that may be useful to us both right then. & so smoothly & gently came the clear memory that when one is feeling down, - forget self for a while, go & find a nice thought or a way to cheer up or encourage someone else who is looking sad or alone, - & it often leads to both persons benefitting! He was excited & rushed off to find someone looking sad, & I was encouraged by this instant working of the principal.
   Being grateful for someone to encourage, to love or befriend - at whatever level is one gratitude. Health, knowledge, talent however minor or great, for it can be built upon & enjoyed.
   I am grateful for all these, for my Life & Spiritual partner & Soul Mate whom I had feared never to find in this life - I was 53 before we met, - & for the new spiritual understanding & love he has brought into my life & lit me up with the unfolding of my purpose, my niche & destined path of Peace, blessing, - & a deeper understanding of myself. I was so confused about who I was & what I was here for for half a century! I have so much to learn relearn, to let go of & to be & to enjoy - in the context of One Community, Brother & Sisterhood for peace, Compassion & Divinity unfolding.
   Love you all, let us all become, be blessed & be grateful together!

I heard today such little story:
On Christmas Day a boy asked his Mum: "Mum, h o w many children has Mother Mary?" His mother answered: "One, Robert!" The little boy stood a while like this: , than he said: "This c a n ´t be happen, because last year and the year before she also got a baby..."

Adopted

A group of first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different colour hair than the other family members. One child suggested that he was adopted and a little girl said, "I know all about adoptions because I was adopted." "what does it mean to be adopted?" asked another child. "It means," said the girl, "that you grew in your mummy's heart instead of her tummy."
