My prayer for you....

Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.
- St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, protect this Sister on her journey through a troubled country.
Send your angles to surround her from evil. Keep her close in thy
keeping.
In Jesus name, Amen.

For Sister Joan Chittister's travel to Damascus and Beirut (Hildegard)

Sister Joan Chittister, a Benedictine sister from Erie, PA has asked for prayers. She will be traveling to Damascus and Beirut, November 8 - 15. She is co-chair for the Global Peace Initiative of Women, an organization sponsored by the U.N. They will attend a dialogue among religious leaders to further understanding, mutual respect and greater inter-religious cooperation.
There is a great need for better understanding among traditions; I pray that this meeting will be a step forward.
I am starting a candle group under "Joan".
Thank you, Edda
