Good night, dear friends.
We, too, had warm temperatures today, but a wind is picking up and making it almost decent.

Tomorrow, thunderstorms, the first day of camp for Eamon, Linus to work with me half-day, and appointments for the boys in the afternoon.   And the entire bus system rehauled as of today.  Should be an interesting day....

Peaceful sleep to all.

          Guten Morgen, liebe Juliana!
I hope you are taking pictures of your rosebush! Last year it was just starting to bloom, and I missed the full blooming this year!
          Enjoy the day!

          Peace and joy!

            Good morning friends.
I hope it finds you all well rested, and the poorly ones feeling better.
Bilberry slept peacefully all night and wasn't sick once. He seems himself this morning.
He really wasn't feeling well, and came to me for comfort.
I tried all sorts of things, including homeopathy, and something did help eventually, for which I am very grateful. Hopefully, no Vet visits this time.
I gave them both a good brushing before breakfast, and now I am covered in fur

            Thank you Edda for
and for the lovely cool yellow rose. It does seem to have been a particularly good year for roses.
I loved being greeted by that busy bee Juliana! Although I don't think I shall be very busy today. The temperatures are expected to soar.
Yes, I do hope you will share some photos of your roses.
            Love is the only way

              Hello and Good Morning,
              friends . . .
thank you for this perfect yellow rose,
              for the busy bee,
              and for

It sounds like the challenges are lining up for you,
              dear Amy . . .
I hope that Eamon enjoys his first day at camp.
You'll have Linus all to yourself this morning . . .
              I share your weather--
              quite warm and humid,
              but with a breeze.

I'm also happy to hear that Bilberry is feeling better . . .
perhaps the heat got to him.
My cats don't particularly enjoy hot weather.

Although we are both feeling a little better,
              the continued coughing is problematic
and we were up most of the night.
He is home today with no voice
and I am calling the doctor when the office opens.

              Dear Beryl . . .
I hope this new antibiotic does the trick for you,
and that you are soon on the mend.

I am looking forward to seeing your rose photos,
              dear Juliana . . .
my roses are blooming beautifully . . .
              red ones are stunners,
though the pink ones look a little brown around the edges.
              I'm not sure why.
              everything counts...

I'm pleased to be able to report that the only hiccup in our day was a bus that didn't come.  We had to wait another 40 minutes for the next one.  This made Linus cross, but otherwise didn't impact our schedule too badly.    And we even managed to miss being out in the rain at all - and I'm told it was heavy at times.

With Juliana's serene image in mind, I will gladly lay my head to the pillow early tonight.

Rest well, dear friends, and healing thoughts to our "sickies" - furred and un-furred.

Good morning, dear friends! Let me add something nice and healthy to dear Edda's beautiful water liies! (Which, BTW, are always wrongly translated into German as 'Wasserlilien' - while 'Seerosen' =  'sea roses' is what we call them ). Have an agreeable (wheater- as well as health-wise) day!

Hello, dear Edda! Yes, it's cooler here, especially inside the house, since it is insulated! It's quite warm on the terrace though, but the flowers and tomatoes like it ! Keep your arms cool, putting them in a basin with cold water for 10 minutes! for the serene mountain picture,
                                  breakfast,
                                  and for

I hope you were carrying a book,
                                  dear Amy . . .
40 minutes is a long time to wait for a bus,
                                  especially with an impatient child.
I'm glad that that was the least of your worries.

                                  During the day,
his malady took a turn for the worse,
fueled by lack of sleep from night coughing.
                                  I lost my voice,
and when my doctor returned my call at the end of the day,
she could barely understand what I was trying to say,
(it was really rather funny )
and of course the strain from trying to talk
only made my throat more sore . . .
                                  I slept better last night
and have an appointment to see her this morning.

                                  It is a beautiful morning
after the drenching rains yesterday afternoon and evening . . .
everything looks so fresh and sparkling.
                                  A Good Day to all . . .
                                  (and count your lucky stars
that you don't live in Death Valley,
where temperatures are expected to rise to 124 degrees F!)
                                  everything counts...

                                    Stay cool,
                                    dear Edda . . .
it sounds you are experiencing a heat wave as well.
                                    My childhood advice
was to sit very still when it is hot . . .
I think it was suggested to me
                                    by an adult relative
who was irritated by my childish energy . . .
                                    everything counts...

Hello, dear Spatz, I am sorry that this bug is so much in love with you and your husband that it is putting off its departure. Voiceless telephone conversations can be frustrating. I hope you'll get some help from your doctor in getting over this nasty bout of respiratory problems!
I hope the beautiful morning is refreshing!

Here, too, it is cooler inside than outside, at least for now!
                                      Peace and joy!

It really is refreshingly cool and breezy this morning,
                                        dear Edda,
and I am not so sick that I cannot enjoy it.
                                        The rain washed things clean
and took the oppressive humidity with it . . .
                                        everything counts...
