I have not understood whether this option lets visitors to one's site light a candle on one's site or if it directs visitors to the gratefulness site to light a candle on it.

I suppose the first. Is that so?

This feature (posted in the beginning of this thread) takes you to candles in general. If you want to go to a specific group, click on search and then insert the name of your group into Group Search, click again on search and it will take you there.

I joined the forum today to light two candles, one for my grandfather, who passed in his sleep before 2001; the other for a dear friend of mine who took his life in February 2008. I didn't get the news about my friend until September 11 2008, so September 11's a terrible day for me.
 
I want to thank the moderators for putting this site up. I've wanted to light real candles for Will and Grandpa, but every time I try to light a candle in the house, my family starts yelling "you'll burn the house down".

This'll probably take a few messages.  To start off, I was born in 1981, a premie baby with, I hate to admit, a seizure condition that I've lived with all my life. A lot of people only saw the seizures and didn't see me. Will never did. He was the first one (besides my family and the doctors that were treating me) who saw past my medical problems.  He just saw a young woman who needed a friend.

Thank you for telling us a little about yourself. I'm pleased you have found a friend who sees who you really are. Please don't feel bad about having to admit you have seizures. They are something that happens to you and you seem to have accepted that very well, but they aren't who you are.
Before you told us about yourself we saw only a very sweet and caring soul, which others will surely see also.

I haven't been able to stop crying since I found out about him. He didn't only take his life; he killed everyone who loved him, too.

 
 
I think candles are flying a little at the momentI lit a few candles in one group and they all have gone to the main page.Hopefully the prayer will still be heard no matter what .
